Inspiration
I was inspired by Margaret Wise Brown’s Goodnight Moon where she changes the illustrations from colorful spreads to grey-tones in certain sections. Similarly, I highlighted the choruses in the song by changing the context and layout of the illustrations.
Little Owls
Little Owls is a book for children ages 1-5. The inspiration was a song I wrote for my child. To keep the attention of this young audience, I chose simple and bold colors and illustrations. In the back of the book, you’ll find the song chords and cut-out finger puppets to play with.
